Menopause Majlis — An Initiative of MeNOW Health
Effective Date: 30 March 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Menopause Majlis, an events initiative of MeNOW Health. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Menopause Majlis events page, registration process, and attendance at any Menopause Majlis event — whether free or paid.
By registering for, purchasing a ticket to, or attending any Menopause Majlis event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not register or attend.
2. About Menopause Majlis
Menopause Majlis is a community events platform created by MeNOW Health. It hosts educational, wellness, and community events focused on menopause, midlife health, and women's wellbeing. Events may be held online, in person, or in hybrid format, and may be free or paid.
3. Eligibility
By registering for a Menopause Majlis event, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You are registering on your own behalf or have authority to register on behalf of another adult
- The information you provide during registration is accurate and complete
- You will comply with these Terms and any event-specific rules communicated to you
4. Registration and Tickets
4.1 Free Events
Registration for free events is confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation email. A registered place is not guaranteed if you do not receive written confirmation.
4.2 Paid Events
- Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your place
- Your registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment and a confirmation email from us
- Prices are stated at the time of booking and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
- Payment is processed securely through a third-party payment provider. Menopause Majlis does not store your card details.
4.3 Transferring Your Registration
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another eligible person by notifying us in writing at least 48 hours before the event. Transfers are subject to our approval and the transferee agreeing to these Terms.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
5.1 Cancellation by You
For paid events:
- No refunds will be issued unless the organizer cancels. You are welcome to transfer your ticket to another attendee.
- No-shows on the day — no refund
For free events:
Please notify us as soon as possible if you can no longer attend so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list
5.2 Cancellation or Changes by Us
Menopause Majlis reserves the right to:
- Cancel, postpone, or modify any event due to circumstances beyond our control, insufficient registrations, or operational reasons
- Change the event format (e.g. from in-person to online) where necessary
In the event of a cancellation by us:
- Paid attendees will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their registration to a future event
- We will notify registered attendees as soon as reasonably practicable via the email address provided at registration
Menopause Majlis is not responsible for any costs incurred by attendees as a result of a cancellation or change, including travel, accommodation, or related expenses.
6. Event Conduct
Menopause Majlis is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for all attendees. By attending any event, you agree to:
- Treat all attendees, speakers, hosts, and staff with dignity and respect
- Refrain from any discriminatory, harassing, abusive, or disruptive behaviour
- Not record, photograph, or livestream any event or attendee without prior written permission from Menopause Majlis and the relevant individuals
- Not share, distribute, or reproduce event content — including presentations, speaker materials, and session recordings — without our express written consent
- Follow any additional event-specific rules communicated before or during the event
We reserve the right to remove any attendee from an event — without refund — if their behaviour is deemed disruptive, harmful, or in violation of these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
All content produced or presented at Menopause Majlis events — including but not limited to presentations, slides, videos, written materials, branding, and session recordings — is the intellectual property of MeNOW Health or the respective speakers and contributors.
You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, or commercially exploit any event content without prior written permission. Personal notes taken for private, non-commercial use are permitted.
8. Photography, Recording and Livestreaming
8.1 By Menopause Majlis
Events may be photographed, recorded, or livestreamed by Menopause Majlis for educational and promotional purposes. You will be notified of this in advance. By attending, you acknowledge that you may be incidentally captured in recordings or photographs used by MeNOW Health. If you do not wish to be included, please notify us before the event and we will make reasonable accommodations.
8.2 By Attendees
Attendees may not record, photograph, or livestream any portion of a Menopause Majlis event without express prior written permission from both Menopause Majlis and any individual being captured. This applies to all formats — audio, video, screen recording, and photography.
9. Health and Wellness Disclaimer
Menopause Majlis events are educational and community-focused in nature. The content shared at our events — including by speakers, facilitators, and guests — is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
You should always:
- Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any changes to your health, medication, or wellness routine
- Not disregard professional medical advice based on anything shared at a Menopause Majlis event
MeNOW Health and Menopause Majlis accept no liability for any health decisions made based on information shared at our events.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Menopause Majlis and MeNOW Health shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your attendance at or inability to attend an event
- Any loss or damage to personal property at in-person events
- Technical failures, interruptions, or platform issues affecting online or hybrid events
- Any actions, statements, or advice provided by third-party speakers at our events
- Any costs incurred in connection with travel, accommodation, or preparation for an event that is cancelled, postponed, or modified
Our total liability to you in connection with any event shall not exceed the amount you paid to register for that event.
11. Third-Party Platforms and Sponsors
Some Menopause Majlis events may be hosted on, or promoted in partnership with, third-party platforms (e.g. Zoom, Eventbrite) or supported by sponsors. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or terms of any third-party platform or sponsor. Any interaction you have with a sponsor or third party is solely between you and that party.
Sponsors do not influence the educational content of our events. Menopause Majlis maintains full editorial independence.
12. Online Events — Technical Requirements
For online or hybrid events, you are responsible for ensuring that you have:
- A stable internet connection
- Compatible device, browser, or software required to access the event platform
- Any login credentials or access links provided to you in advance
Menopause Majlis is not responsible for your inability to access an online event due to technical issues on your end. Refunds will not be issued for missed online events due to personal technical difficulties.
13. Privacy
Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By registering for a Menopause Majlis event, you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your participation in Menopause Majlis events shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE, unless otherwise required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on our events page. For events already booked, the Terms in effect at the time of your registration will apply unless you are notified otherwise.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
